Lily Allen to write for Bridget Jones?
According to a new report, Lily Allen has agreed to write the score for Bridget Jones's Diary when the hit movie is made into a musical. Rumours say that the star will probably write around eleven songs in all.
The “Smile” singer has announced that she will step out of the spotlight this year. So this time, she will begin a career behind the scenes as a songwriter. Lily Allen is already said to have composed one track about Bridget Jones’ battle with her weight. She recently won three Ivor Novello Awards.
Details about the Bridget Jones musical are being kept a secret although it is due to open on the West End stage in 2011. Renée Zellweger, who played the title role in both movies, will not be starring in the stage version.
